One great new feature of the new Studio ’09 suite is the ability to remove the results slides in both Quizmaker ’09 and the Learning Games in Presenter ’09. Why would you want to do this?
Well sometimes, you might just want to have a knowledge check question in the middle of your course without requiring a passing score or anything. You just want to check on one thing that was covered in a previous slide, or simply make the course a little more interactive. It keeps the learner on their toes. Perhaps you are designing a quiz where the score is simply not important. You might not want to show how bad the managers really are in their job. A simple correct or incorrect at the end of each question might be enough without hammering the point at the end of the quiz that they really did quite badly!
So if you are looking for a number of spot checks within your course, or an unscored quiz at the end, Studio ’09 now comes with the solution.
Learning Games
Let’s look first at the Learning Games in Presenter ’09. The demo below shows how to remove the results slide from a Learning Game. I used PowerPoint 2007 and Presenter ’09. You can stop and pause the video as you do this on your own computer.

Quizmaker ’09
With Quizmaker ’09, you can also remove the Results Slides and remove any reference to score completely. They can be one-slide reference checks to make sure that a point is clear. You can give very simple feedback to tell the student how they got on and then move on to the next slide.
This demo shows how to create a single one-slide Quiz which is then inserted into Presenter ’09. It shows how you move from one Presenter slide to a quiz and then straight onto another slide.

If you have any questions, just write a comment at the end of this post and I’ll try and get back to you as soon as I can.

[...] Hi Ellen, Yes, you can. This post has a couple of demos which shows you how to do that. Daveperso
Hi,
when I try to watch the demos, my AV (AVAST) displays a virus alert (Malware-gen). Is it possible to check this.
Sincerely.
Hi Doha, There was a known issue whereby Avast was reporting a False Negative when using Articulate Presenter. I was under the impression this had been fixed. Can you check that you have installed the latest updates to Avast? Are you getting this with all presentations or just this one? I have checked the demos in both Norton and McAfee and am having no signals and I have also had no other similar reports from visitors or colleagues so I strongly suspect the issue is with Avast.
