Hi Windy,

I can't see an easy solution to your problem. The Articulate slide is fixed at 720 x 540 pixels. What you could try and do is insert the image as a web object. Assuming the screen resolution is large enough and the browser is set to fill the screen, then you should find that a 1024 x 768 pic should fit in the main slide window. The other solution, of course, is to reduce the size of your 1024 x 768 shots to 720 x 540 ie. resize them. Hope that helps. Dave

Hi Dave -
I need your HELP please. I am using Captivate 4 to capture animated screen shots. I have captured shots using the following sizes: 1024 x 768, 720 x 540 and 940 x 400. What I am trying to do is import them into Articulate 9 (insert Flash Video) and choosing to have the screen shot with in the Articulate slide - my client does not want a new window to open. However, the Captivate screen shot is too large for the Articulate slide window. 1024 x 768 works the best with no side bar BUT again my client want the option of having the side bar. So if a learner/end user chooses to have the side bar view "turned on" than the 1024 x 768 size screen shot gets cut off on the left hand side. PLEASE I need your help to resolve my sizing issues.

Thanks,
Windy

Hi Kevin,

I would guess that the issue is being caused by resizing of the player or of the video that you are embedding. Have you looked at this article?

I am having an issue when inserting a Camtasia FLV file into Articulate.

The file plays without issue, however included in the video looks very bad, however if you play the file outside of Articulate the file looks sharp.

Anyone else run into this issue? I have used insert web object and the quality of the video is better because it uses the Camtasia Player, however the client does not want this extra popup full screen window and wants it all to play within Articulate?

The text looks smeared inside Articulate,

Any help would be great!

Well I have taken time to get back to you so maybe you've resolved this. Special characters cause problems when viewing online but somehow don't cause a big deal when viewed locally. I'd make sure there are no apostrophes, or accents in the video file. The other cause can be a very large video which is taking so long to download that it looks like it is paused. So you need to check that your Captivate movie is no more than 10 MB per minute of video, ideally around about 5 Mb.
